When the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco makes a case against a licensee, it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been on the program if you’re not paying attention to it. And it’s quite simple. From the onset of the program, attitude and participation are crucial!
A new hire must complete the new hire course in his first 30 days of work, or even before he begins to work, and if he doesn’t complete the course he shouldn’t have a job. When he is taken off the schedule and the whole staff learns about it, attendance is taken very seriously.
The same goes for tri-annual updates…they cannot be skipped or delayed.
It’s the places that adhere to this policy who have the best attendance.
Managers, please remember that the Responsible Vendor Act mandates that you attend training along with your staff in both New hire and Update meetings!
